The Addams Family
We are pleased to announce auditions for Mighty Goliath Productions’ 2026 presentation of The Addams Family.
As part of MGP’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity, we are seeking a diverse and dynamic cast for this year’s musical. Performers of all races, gender identities, physical abilities, ages, and body types are strongly encouraged to audition. All roles will be cast with an open-minded and inclusive approach.
MGP proudly operates as a no-cut community theater, rooted in the belief that theater should be accessible to everyone. All individuals who wish to participate in this production will be included, regardless of whether they are cast in a lead or featured role. Every participant is valued, and every contribution is integral to bringing our story to life.
Join the Ensemble—No Audition Required
We invite all interested performers to become part of this year’s ensemble without the need for an audition. Simply attend the initial rehearsals:
Friday, October 10, 2025 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church Parish Center
Friday, October 17, 2025 at Avon Lake High School Performing Arts Center choir room
By joining us at these two sessions and completing the required participation forms, you will officially become a member of the production.
In this production, our ensemble will not merely fill the stage. They will embody the creepy, kooky Addams Family Ancestors, with each performer crafting a distinct character from beyond the grave.
Join the Featured Cast — Group Auditions
Auditions will be conducted in a group format, and all participants should plan to remain for the entire duration of their session. Activities will include improvisational exercises, vocal work drawn from the show, and scene readings from the script.
To be considered for lead and featured roles, please register for one of the following audition sessions:
Saturday, September 13, 2025 (4:00–8:00 PM)
Sunday, September 14, 2025 (1:00–5:00 PM)
Auditions will be held at: Saint Joseph Catholic Church Parish Center 32946 Electric Blvd, Avon Lake, OH 44012 in the Auxiliary Gym. Upon entering the south parking lot from Electric Blvd, the Parish Center is located to your left. Look for the blue awning marked “Parish Center & Credit Union”.
Please arrive dressed and prepared to move.

Callbacks
Callback auditions will be held by invitation only on:
Monday, September 15, 2025 (6:30–9:30 PM)
This session may include additional vocal and acting auditions and will include dance auditions, allowing the production team to further assess performers’ dance abilities and suitability for lead roles.
Youth Auditions (Ages 6 to 13)
Children are welcome to participate in the group audition for featured roles in this production. While the available roles for young actors in the show are not lead parts, the audition offers an opportunity to introduce themselves to the production team and showcase their talents.
Parents are required to remain in the audition space with their children during the entire session.
From the moment your child walks through the door until their session concludes, the audition is underway. During this time (and throughout the rehearsal period) we observe their demeanor, attitude, and ability to follow direction to help determine the size and nature of the role they’re ready to play.
As the saying goes in theatre: “You are always auditioning.”
Video Auditions
If you can't make it to one of the in-person group auditions but still wish to be considered for a lead part, please contact the production team at auditions@mightygoliath.com, as soon as possible. Video auditions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If you audition virtually and get called back for another audition, you must attend the callback session in person on Monday, September 15th, between 6:30-9:30 pm. There won't be any exceptions to this requirement.
