What excited you most about working on this year’s show?

The movie was a childhood favorite of mine (and the first movie I ever saw in a movie theater!) Honestly, I will jump at any chance to work on an Alan Menken score!!

What’s your theater origin story?

Dramatic kid, didn’t like sports. The rest is history. I believe my breakout role was Christopher Columbus, in a 5th grade school performance we did for Columbus Day.

What’s your favorite backstage superstition or tradition?

I always enjoy the pre-show awards presentations and prayers. It’s such a nice way to honor this beautiful and weird little theater family we have, and to take a collective minute before the performance begins.

What’s a memorable or funny moment from a past show you’ve worked on?

Oh man, probably stepping in as an understudy to learn an entire lead role during tech week for “The Addams Family” last year. Definitely memorable!

What’s a hidden talent you have that has nothing to do with theater?

Cross stitch. I am also REALLY good at toasting marshmallows.

What’s one item you always have in your bag during rehearsals or tech week?

Cough drops
