Describe this production in three words.

Fish. Outta. Water.

What excited you most about working on this year’s show?

I'm super thrilled to be part of the production team this year!! Plus, what's not to love about The Little Mermaid?

What’s your theater origin story?

I started my theater career doing shows in the basement, with my brothers and sisters. I joined the Cleveland Singing Angels when I was 9, and discovered that I loved performing for people who were not just my parents. I did all the theater that I could in high school and sang in my college choirs. I stepped away from the stage for awhile after that, though I sang with my church's guitar group. Then, I had the exciting opportunity to sing with the U.S. Navy band. That sparked my love of performing again, and I came back to theater in 2000, with Children of Eden at the Cassidy Theatre in Parma Heights. And I never looked back...

What’s your favorite backstage superstition or tradition?

Impromptu hysterical choreography to a number being performed onstage...

What’s a memorable or funny moment from a past show you’ve worked on?

While I was in a production of Urinetown, the sound engineer forgot to turn off my mic. So the audience was regaled with a version of me singing "Privilege to Pee", while I was on the toilet!!!

What’s a hidden talent you have that has nothing to do with theater?

EVERYTHING has something to do with theater. Theater is life! BUT! I do have this special superpower in which I can always choose the proper food storage container for the leftover food to fit in, just perfectly.

What’s one item you always have in your bag during rehearsals or tech week?

A handheld fan that used to belong to my mom. I always run hot.

Favorite musical/play?

The first show I ever saw on Broadway was Rent. I must have had the best seat in the house; front row center of the close balcony. During the curtain call, I jumped from my seat and applauded wildly. The cast members were all pointing and waving at me. I have too many favorite shows to really just pick one, but Rent will always be extremely special to me!
