Fast Facts & Favorites

Dream show to work on?

Beauty and the Beast or Schmigadoon

Describe this production in three words.

Magical, kick-ass, and fun!

What’s one item you always have in your bag during rehearsals or tech week?

My kindle for some downtime reading.

What excited you most about working on this year’s show?

The team behind the show. I love our production staff, and Connie and I have thrown around the idea of directing together for a while now. I'm so excited to see the magic we will bring to MGP!

What’s your theater origin story?

I was a shy kid who didn't like sports, so my parents encouraged me to try theatre and I've been seen on the stage ever since.

What’s your favorite backstage superstition or tradition?

To never utter the Scottish play. I also have a scarf I bought in New York years ago and I always wear it on opening day.

What’s a memorable or funny moment from a past show you’ve worked on?

I got engaged as Glinda after our final show for Wizard of Oz. Wizard of Oz is such a special show to me, and my fiance did a wonderful job of making such a sweet memory I'll cherish forever.

What’s a hidden talent you have that has nothing to do with theater?

I'm a pretty good cook and baker. I like to create meals using limited ingredients like you see on chopped.

Early bird or night owl?

More of a night owl, especially if I'm in the middle of a really good book (which is most of the time).

Favorite tech‑week snack?

Anything Reese's or chocolate covered pretzels or sea salted caramels.

Favorite musical/play?

Way too many, but if I had to narrow it down I'd say Shucked. The cast album has made it into my yearly wrapped for the past 3 years.
